The Ada County Department of Motor Vehicles office in Boise is on the move. Don’t plan on showing up Friday; you’ll be there by yourself.
The DMV’s current location at 400 N. Benjamin Lane closes 5 p.m. Thursday. It will reopen Sept. 11 at its new location at 8655 W. Franklin Road.
There are options if you need to get business done, however.
Driver’s licenses, instruction permits and identification cards will remain available through the Ada County Sheriff’s Office at the Benjamin Lane location.
If you need services such as registering and titling a vehicle over the next few days, the assessor’s office in Boise (190 E. Front St.) and the DMV offices in Meridian (1769 N. Lakes Place Suite 100), Garden City (9115 Chinden Blvd. Suite 103) and Star (10769 State St.) are open Friday.
